Senior Living Center Houston

It's an older community at over 30 years old, but they maintain things very well. We know that you want your senior loved ones to enjoy living in a community that cares for them. It was beautiful, but for me, being blind, it was too spread out, it was hard to get around, and I would get lost in there.

We get it, we understand how difficult the decision is. We believe that the most vulnerable among us deserve to be protected and cared for, regardless of the cost. You can choose from any one of the private or semi-private rooms offered at here. All residents have access to all of our common areas as well as our landscaped grounds. Our 24 hours staff is some of the best in Amityville, they’re always available when needed.

Senior Living Is A Big Decision. We Understand.

The director took me around to all the facilities, and they have independent, assisted living, and skilled nursing. They have a chapel on the promises, and it seemed to be well cared for. The staff member was excellent, very well knowledgeable about the place, and was able to answer my questions. Food and dining is an important consideration when selecting an assisted living facility. Three meals a day are offered to residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We bought a trundle bed so that my sister could stay over on weekends . When we asked why, they stated that the Dept. of Health did not allow another person to stay over in the assisted living room. We called the Dept. of Health and were told there was no such regulation. The people who run this facility, specifically the CEO and his wife, were combative, dishonest and disrespectful during any and all conversations we have had with them. I would encourage you to please be VERY careful and explore all other options before considering Dominican Village as an assisted living facility for your loved one.

The rooms were nice, but they do not have full kitchens or as many activities as other places I've seen. The dining area was nice, clean, and restaurant-looking, and the menu looks fine. It's wonderful and everything you could expect. They provide activities and three meals a day, and I have independence to do what I want. The food is great, and it's made by Luby's cafeteria.

Anything you can share will help other families choose the perfect community. You couldn't be in a wheelchair at Dominican Village. The dining area was beautiful, and everything was pristine. I visited St. Dominic Village, which is a Catholic community, and I was very impressed. The lady who gave me the tour gave me all the information I needed. They have a very impressive community. They have meals catered by Luby's, which is very good. They're very professional and I wouldn't mind living there.

They have all the other services as well including exercise. They have medical facilities too. The staff was very accommodating. I would have to say that of the places I visited that was the least expensive.

It's an established senior community. It used to be a college and they converted it to what it is now. It has a large campus and it's secure.

Husband and I filed separate complaints with the THHSC and Medicare. Not a well run facility and blatant coverups of mismanagement. We moved both mothers out to other facilities. St. Dominic Village is nice and quiet on a large piece of property with a lot of trees. The rooms are more like independent living, but there’s no kitchen, so it might be for people that are not as independent and don’t want to cook.

The grounds are well-kept, and there's great access for parking. They're also located on a bus line. They're a fairly expensive facility "“ it starts somewhere around $2000/month, and goes to about $5000/month. The residents have nice sized rooms "“ probably 12 by 12. We have chosen St. Dominic Village for my mom. I like the level of care and the accommodations.

The place itself seemed really nice and had a lot of activities available for residents. The people that worked there seemed very friendly. The residents I saw living there seemed to be quite happy at the residence. My aunt seemed to like the place too.

But the surroundings were not dated. I really liked Dominican Village during my visit, but unfortunately my mom did not want to go there as of yet. The staff seemed caring, and the residents looked like they were happy. A place for seniors who need little or no assistance with activities of daily living. We know that you want your loved ones to enjoy living in a community that cares for them.
